Hi,

After updating with service pack 24 I have now lost the use of my National file (ABF.fil). I also cannot create a new one at all. The membership file is fine. I updated using ASE8s internal updating which I have done before without issue on several occassions. I also uninstalled the program and reinstalled as a last resort and still cannot recitify the problem. I have been using ASE8 for a long time and installed it on many computers so am fairly experienced with the program. Hope you are able to help please.

Thanks again

You should be able to go to [system][National file] and then [file][open] and choose the abf.fil that you have used previously or just downloaded.
That latest file is available from the abf at
http://www.masterpoints.org.au/FILES/ABF2ASE/abf2ase.exe

Also another way (if on the net) is create a new members file and choose to load the members of your club from the "abf names" file. That automatically builds an abf.gdb from the download as well as load the members.

Hi,

I tried what you asked and none of it worked and I was about to post back here that I couldn't get it to work. The members files were fine just the National file.

Anyway the way I got it to work was to stop the Database engine and restart it and straight away it started to build the National file as it should have to begin with. Hope this helps as it may just be a one of freak :D .

Thanks for your help and a great program.
