Section Letters

Using Bridgemates, do I have to start numbering my sections from A?

In the ASE Scorer your sections are numbered from 1 to n where n is the maximum number of sections in the session. If you have (say) 3 sections and delete section 2 then there are only two sections, 1 and 2, in the session.

In Bridgemate the section numbers can be any number, A=1 , B=2, C=3 etc.
Normally section 1 is the first but it can be any section number. The way the sections in ASE are mapped to those in BM is by the letter assigned to the section.

For example in ASE section 1 can have letter "B", section 2 letter "E" and section 3 Letter "C".

These will translate into sections 2, 5 and 3 respectively in BM. The first (or lowest numbered) in BM does not have to be 1 (in this example it is 2) and do not have to be consecutive.

So to clarify...I can run an event with 2 sections and letter section 1 as R and section 2 as S without any complication in BM?
