Where you need to uninstall before reinstallation of ASE Scorer it may be necessary to save some of the files in the install directory.
Where you have changed the default print reports, make a copy of the .mnu files in the \data directory. Where you have changed the movements (Howell/individuals/users) or the VP scales save the contents of the \masters directory.
Procedure for a full (and guaranteed) uninstallation of the ASE Scorer:
Uninstall the scorer from control panel using add/remove programs.
Delete the directory where it was originally installed. (eg C:\Program files\asecomputing\asescorer8 or similar)
Delete the ASE Scorer registry entry.
Go to windows [Start]
Select [Run]
In the Open box enter
"regedit" (without quotes)
and press [OK]
navigate to the key
- MyComputer
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER
- ASE_Scorer
right-click on "ASE_Scorer" and select [delete]
after question are you sure press [yes]
Close regedit and then install the ASE Scorer from your CD.
