Our club has an interesting scoring problem. Recently they had 9.5 tables and the director felt that a skip and a sit out was an unfair movement and decided to play a Rover Mitchell instead. ASE scorer has some Rover Mitchell movements built in such as 8.5 tables but not 9.5 because of the peculiar movement required. However the help file and the instruction book imply that a 9.5 Rover Mitchell can be entered as a User defined movement, just as we have done with Howells. But we have been unable to enter this movement. Firstly the User defined area does not seem to allow for half table, only full tables. But if we enter 10 tables then there does not seem to be a place to tell the scorer that there is a sit out. Is there anything we can do for this session or will I score it manually?

This is question for V7, as V8 has 9.5 Rovers already defined in the user movements. Generally though to do this enter a movement of 10 tables, where the 10th table always "shares" with the Rover pair's table. Conceptually table ten shares with table 1 on round 1 and 10 is not really in play. Pair 10, the rover, sits at their rover table each round, with the displaced pair at table 10. The movement is set up with only 9 rounds.
