Eclectic Events

I have a 9 round (1/month) event, where some substitutes are allowed and played. However I wish to produce an eclectic event that shows pair totals for the best 5 scores AT MOST with the same partner ie best (at most) 5 scores with the same partner.
I've tried creating an eclectic event but cannot seem to create these parameters - seem to get some totals with 6 scores etc.

The eclectic events are designed for player's results, not pairs.
Typically an eclectic event is made up of results from several events and the "Number of best scores" will dictate the number of results in the total.

The event (one) you describe as needing "pair totals for the best 5 scores AT MOST" is not an eclectic event. The results you require are produced using the [Results]/[Best results] option. The "Number of lowest scores to drop" would be 4 (out of 9) so that you get the best 5. Pairs without 5 scores will just get their total for the number played together. The outright pair number is the one totaled and the substitutes names would only appear in the session results, not the outright results.
