I would like to generate a report to show for each pair, their score in each of 3 sessions, their total score and their percentage score. Any ideas? Fearghal.

As a standard feature you can report each session with %.
The outright results show the previous total, the last session and the new total.

The % of multi sessions are complicated by the possibility of different maximum scores on each session. One option in ASE is to accumulate % as the total and therefore it is possible to divide this by the number of sessions to get an estimated %.

If you want to take all these options a lot further the ASE Scorer has a feature that allows you to produce your own data sets of the sessions and outright and so you can manipulate the reports you show your players using some other tools such as MS Word, excel etc.

Go to [system]/[defaults] and tick "generate event text file results" and optionally "delete text file results with event" to keep things tidy and fill out the "Path to results text file" with a valid directory (folder) path.

As each time an event session is scored these files are updated. The files produced are flat text files. The names are the same as the event name, plus the session number and the file extension types of
.vnt with event details
.ses session results
.ort outright results
.brd board details if applicable
.drw draw for the next session if applicable
.rtg for those using ratings
and .end is placed there after completing the session output.

There exists third party programs that automatically upload these results to the web (formatted).

The data layouts are available from the report generator screens for each of the types. eg for the [Session] report go to [Change] and select the option [Options]/[Data Layout]. A file will be produced showing the layout. The session looks like the following with the title of the field and length shown.
