Hi Ian
A couple of issues have arisen from our current 12 round swiss pairs event.
1/ week two-round four we had some substitute players. I assumed that when the new players keyed their numbers into the bridgemates that the Ase8 would substitute them for the older names. This didnt happen it showed the old names on the reports at the end of the round and subsequent draw. We manually put them in for the following round but with the same result. Are the field names not driven by the numbers keyed in at the beginning of each round??
2/ More complex...the computer froze again at the end of round six. This seemd to occur as our director was trying to print out the reports and the pc was trying to do a read of bridgemate pro at the same time. The problem was that as all results were in the director proceeded to round seven on restarting the computer unaware that in the process ase8 had lost all scores for round six.So we had a round missing and vps missing on subsequent rounds.(unfortunately this only became apparent later:(. I know we can do an adjustment for the vps but can we input wins/losses/draws anywhere). I thought we could run a dummy round before next week and input the correct pairs draw and results ...assuming this would correct both issues. but we arent sure if when you create the new session and answer no to create swiss draw whether it would let you do it all manually???? not having tried this before.
Can you enlighten us??
