ASE8 Lockup

Despite adjusting the time between reads, we continue to experience regular occurences of AS8 locking up when using Bridgemates when the Auto Rescore feature is turned on. When this happens the program stops responding and we have to use Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up Task Manager to kill the program and restart it.

On restart, all the names and scores are missing (depite the Auto Save feature being turned on) and we have to go through the import names process again.

If the Auto Score feature in turned off, this never happens. Is it possible that there is a conflict that comes about if the read and the rescore happen at the same time and if so is there a way to overcome this?

The computer is a recent model Dell with 2 Gig of Ram running XP Home, SP3 and has all the latest Microsoft upates. AVG Free is the Virus software

Yes - Sp62 was installed the day it was issued.

I am surprised you are having this problem.
I would use 20 seconds between reads, but even so there should not be a problem.
No one else has reported this problem.
If it persists I would look at uninstalling and install again with the latest version and apply the latest service pack.
