I'm having problems rebuilding the national file.

A new member exists in nat4win, but if I try to enter him via F2 in the club database he can't be found.

Anyone with an idea?

The ABF members are found in your national file. In the ASE scorer this file is the abf.gdb or abf.fdg file. The file is viewable in [system][national file] and its location is shown on the top of that screen.
This file can be updated with the latest members using the abf.fil file found at http://www.asecomputing.com/ASEScorer/abf.fil
It also can be found on the ABF site at http://www.masterpoints.org.au/FILES/ABF2ASE/abf2ase.exe
By having the latest file you will always have the latest list of players.

To load this file with the latest members first close ASE8. Then download the abf.fil, placing it in the location you want the new abf.fdg file. If that is the same place as the old file replace the existing file. Also if you are using the same place for the masterfile delete the old abf.fdb or abf.gdb file.

Start ASE8 and go to [system][national file] and choose [file][open] and if it asks are you going to use an existing file say no. Then say yes to proceed message.

Then select [open] with the abf.fil file you have just downloaded. This will load the latest members and this newly created file will be used in all future abf member searches.

At the ABF Masterpoint website , it says
# Download the latest ABF2ASE file (for ASE 6 and 7)
# Download the latest ABF_RANK file (for ASE 8)

1) Can't blame ASE8 users for thinking abf2ase is not for them!
2) No point in downloading abf_rank! When you "import ABF masterpoints" ASE ignores abf_rank.txt and instead downloads netrank.zip to \data and uses that instead.

I have just downloaded this file and it contains the end of December values not the 14 Feb values. Who creates the file?

At the ABF Masterpoint website , it says
# Download the latest ABF2ASE file (for ASE 6 and 7)
# Download the latest ABF_RANK file (for ASE 8)

1) Can't blame ASE8 users for thinking abf2ase is not for them!
2) No point in downloading abf_rank! When you "import ABF masterpoints" ASE ignores abf_rank.txt and instead downloads netrank.zip to \data and uses that instead.

Unfortunately this is beyond my control.
There has been a change in management of the ABF site and while the new people are doing there best (while learning) they are not always up to date.
The end of Dec figures where published 13 Jan. I missed the Feb 14 publishing of the January figures. When the end Feb figures are published I will make sure the Netrank.txt is updated. The ABF_rank.txt is identical to the netrank.txt file.
