I'm new to Ase, so please forgive me if I ask stupid questions..
When I entered the registration details, I entered Australia as the country of residence.. Should I do it somewhere else too?
Also, I don't have an abf.gdb-file, could that be related?

Make sure you install the Australian version
http://www.asecomputing.com/Downloads/ASE8_R1_74e.exe (http://www.asecomputing.com/forums/../Downloads/ASE8_R1_74e.exe)

Ok, I have downloaded the version you mentioned (same name, same number of bytes) and the latest FireBird db.
Then I have de-installed the current installations of FireBird (was 1.5) and Ase (sp74), and made fresh installs for both FireBird (now 2.1) and Ase8.
Still, I don't get a list of Australian clubs to choose from..
Btw, I run Ase8 under WinXP, with all the latest updates..

You do not have to install Firebird with that version (note "e" on the end of the name indicates firebird is embedded... see http://www.asecomputing.com/installation.htm (http://www.asecomputing.com/forums/../installation.htm) and http://www.asecomputing.com/Downloads.htm (http://www.asecomputing.com/forums/../Downloads.htm) for more details).

From main screen [system][club members] or F9 then
(assuming you do not have a members file)
[file][new club DB] and supply a place and name [save]. You are then shown a list of clubs, select yours and proceed.
(assuming you already have a members file)
[options][club details] then click [search] and a list of clubs appear.

Sorry I just discovered what your problem is.
You were sent the wrong registration key. You will get a new one soon.
