First up I believe it is simpler if you tick the "show auto-start option" (at the bottom) in the advanced screen. This will show you "Use remote scores" screen after each section is set up.
Then you start a new event (or open an old one and add a new session).
When the "Use remote scores" screen appears after you have set up the session the option "auto start bridgepads/bridgemates this session" is ticked and the top of the screen also shows "New database". If not then click [option][use new database].
Click [finish] and bridgepads/bridgemates will start.
Then if needed add a new section and the "Use remote scores" screen appears again. It shows "share database..." at the top. Click [finish] and a message comes up "section B added to database" etc.
When sharing two events with the same session the "Use remote scores" screen appears in the same way and click [finish] (make sure the section letters are different).

If you do not tick the "show auto-start option" mentioned at the top then the procedure is very similar. Just click [remote scores][auto start] for each section and it works the same.

The important thing to realize is there has been changes to simplify the procedure and in essence do not try to do too much. Each time you create a new section [auto start] (or [finish]) will do the work for you.

Hi Ian
There is now an a new Dialogue Box that appears after the Section has been replaced and loaded using the Advanced Options.
When Autostart is selected the message "Do you wish to use a new Data Base File - Yes or No" appears.
I imagine the answer is NO given that we have just loaded the new section but would appreciate your confirmation.
Regards
Neville

I am not sure of the exact steps you are taking here.
If I do the following:

The "Use remote scores" screen appears after I have set up the session (1st section) with the option "auto start bridgepads/bridgemates this session" ticked and the top of the screen also shows "New database".
Click [finish] and bridgepads/bridgemates will start.

Then I replace the section using [section][replace] option.
Click [remote scores][auto start]
You are asked:
"Do you wish to update the movement in this file?" click [yes]
"This will update from round 1. Do you wish to proceed?" [yes]
The new section details are now in the server.

The situation to which I am referring is when it becomes apparent that the incorrect movement or missing table position or something similar has been selected after the players have logged onto the Bridgemates.
The instructions on how to deal with this situation are in the download on your Website "Using Bridgemates with ASE Scorer"- "When things go wrong" - Refer Sections 10.1.1 and 10 1.1.2.
These are the ones that we have followed since installing the Bridgemates some years ago and it is when the Autostart option is selected that the new question about the new data base is asked.
This is different from the process you describe in your reply- have things changed?
