We occasionally get this error when finalizing an event: "frmMember1BTable1: Cannot perform this operation on a closed dataset."
ASE crashes and has to be terminated and re-started.
I believe this occurs when some players (visitors) had been selected from the National file (because they are not in the club database). You then get the problem at the end, on finalizing.
It's a fairly common occurrence.
I also suspect that when this happens an incomplete set of master-points is recorded, and the missing ones don't get exported later (at end of month).
We have been getting this problem with Service Pack 83 and earlier ones. Haven't loaded SP84 yet, but don't see anything relevant in release notes.
