9 team round robin with 12 board matches "exceeds system limit"

We played a three week GNOT event with 9 teams. It was a round robin with 12 board matches (spread over the 3 weeks).
When you set up such an event the error message "Number of boards exceeds system limit" appears.
This seems an unrealistic limit.

Such an event should be set up as a Swiss teams event with a manual draw.
If you try to set it up as a teams event with 8 rounds of 12 boards then clearly 96 boards in one session is not realistic.

This problem occurred when setting up an American Whist movement after all rounds were completed.

The problem is the software does not know you have run the event over three days.
The answer is still the same.
