Within ASE the session has a BWS file associated with it and when you do F8 it checks that file name matches the one open in the session. This error indicates they do not match. It could be due to changing scoring options and ASE rescoring a previous session when it should not or vice-versa. Using the [open existing database] option resets this name in the session as well as using it to read scores.
Consider this. You are running session 6, reading session 6 file and every thing is OK. You then switch to session 5 to look at some old scores. You walk away and forget you have done this and later return to the computer and press F8 and you will get: "Session in progress. Database not the same."
Session 5 has database for 5 associated with it and 6 is open at the moment.
Lucky... you certainly do not want to read session 6 scores into session 5.
