I installed the latest update to this program (BCSupd2-1-1) and it worked fine until I tried to add a new event to and existing file immediately after setting up the first event and starting the program. When the second event is set up and Auto start pressed the following error is reported

Access Status 3346 - Number of query values and destination fields are not the same
Titan(BDE) Error -2146824942

If I revert to the previous version of BMpro the error does not occur. I have tested it on four different computers and the same thing happens.

It seems that the result file created by ASE8 is missing a field which causes the error. Rectifying the coding in ASE8 is something like a 3 minute job. ASE8 is informed about this and I expect a solution is close by.

No software change is ever a 3 minute job.

We have just installed 80 Bridgemate II's and shock horror found that the devices would not recognize the addition of a 2nd or 3rd event to the initial event setup. (Our players prefer to have their results determined solely in their own Section and not Across the Field)

The same error message appeared and it is a relief to know the cause.

The next obvious question is "Any advice as to when it may be fixed?"

It may also surprise you that it has taken this long to get a full specification of requirements in changes for BridgeMate II. The good news is they have agreed to notify software developers well in advance so that the users are not the ones to find the problems.
Even so at this stage the 3 minute change has taken 3 hours and once I am fully satisfied the changes are working and correct I will forward a copy to BridgeMate support for testing and then release.
In the meantime it is advised by Bridgemate support NOT to upgrade to software version 2.1.4 OR to unit firmware 1.1.3
or use 2.0.17 and 1.0.5 respectively.
