Problem starting ASE8

I have just received ASE8 version 1.0.18. When I first launch the program I get a black full screen with a flashing cursor (a bit like a DOS window). I have to press Crtl-Alt-Dlt to get rid of the black screen and then ASE8 is running behind it. Is this a bug in this release? Thanks, Robert

Not a bug I know about or can reproduce.
alt-tab will clear it too.
That console screen should be started up as a process (named ase007.exe) and should not be visible on the screen.
